Cryogens are substances that exist in a liquid state at extremely low temperatures, typically below -150°C (-238°F). To maintain these substances in a liquid state, it is crucial to minimize heat transfer from the surrounding environment. This is because any heat gain can lead to the vaporization of the cryogen, making it ineffective for its intended use.
